Professional Summary
Michelle is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Yellow Kayak Consulting Inc. She graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree specializing in Chemical Engineering. In 2006, Michelle acquired a Professional Engineer designation from the PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario) and in late 2015 acquired her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Michelle has over 14 years of supply chain experience specializing in production planning, scheduling, materials/inventory management, procurement and logistics. She also has over 10 years of project management and 7 years of business analysis experience in several industries including:
- Consumer packaged goods (food & beverage)
- Automotive
- Banking
- Electronics Subcontract Manufacturing
- Software Development / User Experience Design
Our Purpose
Michelle founded Yellow Kayak Consulting with the intent of fulfilling an entrepreneurial dream to engage with clients by building solutions to solve business problems.
Michelle views her strong listening and communications skills as well as her ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and architect user-centric solutions as her competitive advantages. She takes the time to hear and understand the business needs by building strong relationships with her clients and quickly establishing trust. These strengths enable her to understand client requirements and to design effective solutions based on industry standard best practices. Her in-depth knowledge on multiple ERP platforms and extensive supply chain background enables her to design creative business solutions without compromising the integrity of core application features.
